A solution to the typed journal problem

It may be the case with you that typed pages are difficult to keep together, for instance, if you type a diary or journal.  I tried punching pages into a ring-binder, but they soon tore with page-turning, and I don't find the time to bind them any other way.

UNTIL I remebered that we already have the solution at work, where scripts (which are constantly changing) are another nightmare of loose pages.

We use a script binder.  This may go by other names.  It is a hard front and back cover in one piece; the connecting spine being a strong, cylindrical spring.  One folds the thing back to open the spine, and drops the loose pages into the channel thus opened.  Releasing the covers causes the spine to close instantly, gripping the pages tightly.   Folding the covers open and back on themselves releases all the pages again, and new pages are easily added by shuffling the whole lot together and repeating the operation.
