Smith-Corona Silent-Secretarial

Is anyone here familiar with this machine? I know one member here lists it on the typewriter database:

but he didn't actually use it. I'm considering making an offer on one, but there's not a lot of info out there about them.

I have the non-silent version of the machine and found it to perform better than expected when compared to other models of the era. In other words, it's a solid standard and is nice to type with. And from the right angle it looks pretty good too. On a more practical level the back of the machine has a quick access door, which makes maintenance tasks easier. I would certainly buy one if the price was reasonable.


The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.
