Brother GX-6750 Electric

Brother GX-6750 Electric
SN:   GOD849913

Just picked this up today. The lady said that it had never been used. It seems so as it is in excellent condition. Extra ribbon, correction tape and manual all for $20.

This type of typewriter is not collectable but it sure is fun. I wanted this particular machine because I believe it to be one of the last produced typewriters in Canada. I can actually go to the local Office Supply store, plop down $200. and purchase one of these babies. And still get a ribbon.

This is the first time that I have sat in front of a electric typewriter. A bit of a learning curve.
I cannot find the "@" symbol! Drat.

On other GX-6750s I've seen the at-sign was located as the uppercase 2 key. However, your keyboard is a French Canadian version and has a different layout. You could pop out the daisy wheel and see if the at-sign is a character that is included in the typeset you have.

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Re: Brother GX-6750 Electric

I work in a stationery store, and I can tell you from being around that that this model has only sold one in two years. I think the one we have is a non-QWERTY keyboard, and it's had real bad reviews online. I see yours comes QWERTY, so I might be off on the model number, but ours is very similar.

They call me "Hammerhands".
