Help identifying my Remington?

Hello- I am a complete novice, when it comes to typewriters, but I have been looking for one for a while.
I found one I wanted this past weekend and I made the purchase. I would like to know if anyone can help me with identifying this typewriter, as I'm looking to purchase new ribbons for it.

It came in a carrying case, so I assumed it would be considered a 'portable'?! I know I have much to learn about typewriters. Sorry for being so uneducated about them. Guess I have to start somewhere. 😬

A post-WW II Remington Deluxe Model 5: http://typewriterdatabase.com/Remington.Deluxe+Model+5.42.bmys

Does it come with the spools? If so, use those, and get replacement ribbon to spool onto them. Nice machine!

Here's a little more: http://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/rem-portables.htm#deluxemodel5

It should take standard 1/2 inch ribbon, which you should be able to find at Staples or at a more specialized office products store. Unwind the ribbon you have from the spools and wind on the new -- messy but worth it!

Re: Help identifying my Remington?

Thank you SO much. It did come with spools. The only thing missing is one of the spool 'covers'.
I'm all for getting my hands dirty to care for this machine, so I'm more than happy to wind on a new ribbon.
I have a feeling typewriters are like  potato chips... you can't just have one.
