This is fascinating to watch--thank you for posting the updates. 
I see that you have the key levers masked for painting. What sort of paint do you use?

I used a spray rust reformer coating by Rustoleum.

I have used this product before and it work very well to repaint the keylevers. It forms a rustproof coating that is quite durable. The frame and the paper table and a few other parts will get bead blasted and painted with a gloss lacquer.
