Oliver No. 5 Ribbon Covers

Hi,
I have an Oliver No. 5 that is complete except for the ribbon covers.  Would really like to purchase a set of covers correct for the No. 5 if possible.  Please let me know if you have such an item and would like to sell or trade.  Thanks!

Re: Oliver No. 5 Ribbon Covers

If you check eBay (or do a Google search) there's a guy who sells a number of parts for those Oliver models, and he might have what you need. I think he's in England.

Re: Oliver No. 5 Ribbon Covers

I have purchased the reproduction ribbon covers.  While they are not bad, I am not satisfied with them (If I can find originals).
a) Color slightly off
b) no slots as the originals have

Out of curiousity, what are the repro covers made of?

Re: Oliver No. 5 Ribbon Covers

Metal.  I am not trying to degrade them.  I think that the quality is quite good.  Just that they do not have the tear shaped holes in the top, that the originals have.....

This is the reason I am still looking for an original pair to buy.....
