Children's typewriter; Byron Jardine Petite 600/Starlight?

Hi all,
does anyone here own a kids' size typewriter? What kind? And do you actually use it, or is it on display only?
I came across two children's typewriters, a Byron Jardine Petite 600 and a Petite Starlight. Both are from 1976. And on sale (15 euros each)
I thought it would be fun to get one, if only for our kids to play and practice with, but in that case they should be quite sturdy or they won't last long in this household...
(also I told my husband it would be easier to take with us on holiday than my regular portable... He then remarked that pen and paper take even less space. Spoilsport )

I don't own any of the children's models, or toy typewriters, because I didn't want venture down yet another sideroad of collecting. That's not to say that I haven't been intrigued by them, but none of the ones that I've come across seemed to have been built well enough to withstand the rigours of real typing.

Photos of yours?

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.
