Space bar slightly loose on Underwood #5

This should be an easy fix. Heres the story:

Bought an Underwood standard 5. Had multiple things wron with it, so I brough it to Cambridge Typewriter in Cambridge MA (Did an excellent job by the way, You should stop by. They fixed for a great price). Anyways, the space bar was loose before I even broguht it there. So I got it back, and the space bar is still loose. Is this a common problem on these, or is it normal? When ever I hit it, It bounces up and down a few times, and settles.

Re: Space bar slightly loose on Underwood #5

Can you elaborate a little on this? Do you mean the entire space bar mechanism feels loose, or just the actual space bar where it mounts to its linkage?

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.
