Not sure if it'd help in ID'ing the machine, but I believe the person who runs that channel is located in Finland.

The channel is pretty fun otherwise, most people just don't see a typewriter as something worth saving. They are just cool oddities, which is how I viewed them at first. I just hope other channels don't repeat this, the "crush stuff" youtube channels sometimes take hints on what to do from each other...

This is pretty saddening, but it also piqued my morbid curiosity. It doesn't look like it was in terribly great shape, but still. I'm not good at ID'ing typewriters. With my pro detective skills I can tell it is a Remington though.

Yeah, unfortunately Typewriter Keys are just too chic to not be something people would like to make crafts out of. The only real way to combat it is to undercut the market for them by offering products like the one up thread. If you wanted to actually target the market you'd want to offer the keys in the same places keychoppers list them. Make the cheaper non-destructive versions more visible/desirable.

Hello! I've been a passive collector for a couple years now. Once I hit a point where I was telling people, "I have over 20 type writers but don't know the exact number" I figured I ought to start learning a bit more about them and proper maintenance. I'll snag about anything I can if it's not electric.
