1943 Imperial Good Companion (with cork platen and Czech keyboard layout)

I do not know how similar in structure those are to the 7 since I never had the chance to get my hands on one but maybe that helps.

A month ago I came across an Ebay listing for this rather unusual Adler 7. It was in bad shape and sold as parts donor but since I had never seen one like this before I could not let it die that way. I got it for a good price and so I took it upon myself to bring it back to life. 

The picture shows it in its current state, mechanically everything is working again but it still needs some work.


Has anyone seen one like this before or has information about wide carriage № 7´s? I could not find anything on the web so every info is highly appreciated. 

Well, my family declared me nuts the moment I bought my first typewriter.  I currently own 6 machines and like Javi my favorite one is the Continental Silenta. It's really nice to type on, I don't get any noise complaints and its fancy mechanism even intrigues people who have nothing to do with typewriters. My workhorse would be the Triumph Electric 15 my grandmother handed down to me. It's a behemoth and causes earthquakes every time I use it but it's reliable, exact and due to it being an electric I can effortlessly type for hours with my computer spoiled fingers
