yes western new york/upstate ny far from the city lol, thank you for your input i just really like the dirty yellow goldish look but you bring up a good point about being able to check the mechanics out I just don't always have time to go shop locally but I think I will pass on this machine unless the seller drops the price, thank you again for the advice

I was scouring ebay as I often do and I came across this Brother/ Citation model? I have a blue citation in my collection already but I dont have anything with this nice gold color. Can anyone tell me about it or how the price is the only other one I could find like it was listed on etsy for $140, Also how hard is it to change the ribbon as usually I buy typewriters that have been refurbished.

i heard that prewar any typewriter was better for collectability sorry should have been more clear, and yes i also thought the price was a little high but it looks like its in decent shape and id like my 1st typewriter to be functioning, i didnt see an option where you could test it out, thank you all for your input ill watch this typewriter and see where the bid is toward end of auction and watch a few others also thanks again

hopefully in the correct forum but i am new to typewriters i would like a funtional pre war era(heard they are the best) found this one on ebay and it fits my budget was wondering what everyone thought....

24quad6s here love the way old papers look typed up really interested in underwoods prewar any suggestions on good ones?
