I found a guideline for disassembly of the Blick 5 and 6: https://catch55.home.xs4all.nl/projects/blick6/
I do not know how similar in structure those are to the 7 since I never had the chance to get my hands on one but maybe that helps.

Standard Typewriters » Adler Mod. № 7. Wide Carriage » 18-5-2018 15:47:51

A month ago I came across an Ebay listing for this rather unusual Adler 7. It was in bad shape and sold as parts donor but since I had never seen one like this before I could not let it die that way. I got it for a good price and so I took it upon myself to bring it back to life.

The picture shows it in its current state, mechanically everything is working again but it still needs some work.

Has anyone seen one like this before or has information about wide carriage № 7´s? I could not find anything on the web so every info is highly appreciated.

Has anyone here actually bought one online? I'm just curious.

I bought quite a few of my machines online. Portables ship for around 7€ and desktop typewriters for around 15€ at least in my experience with german ebay. It is always kind of a gamble because private sellers don't usually care about right packaging but luckily all my machines arrived safe so far.

Well, my family declared me nuts the moment I bought my first typewriter.  I currently own 6 machines and like Javi my favorite one is the Continental Silenta. It's really nice to type on, I don't get any noise complaints and its fancy mechanism even intrigues people who have nothing to do with typewriters. My workhorse would be the Triumph Electric 15 my grandmother handed down to me. It's a behemoth and causes earthquakes every time I use it but it's reliable, exact and due to it being an electric I can effortlessly type for hours with my computer spoiled fingers
