I have an IBM brush for Sel. It is very dirty. Do you think it's a bad idea to put it in the dishwasher (low temperature). Same with golfballs. Crazy idea?

Thanks a lot, but I gave up. It was an eBay untested item, so I got a refund. By the way, my primary focus was on Casio thermal typewriter - something like that

They are pretty cheap, but (I live in Europe) cartridge+shipping is more expensive than the whole machine! Any advice on a thermal typewriter (the smaller the better) with cartridges/ribbons not too expensive?
Thanks, as ever

Thanks, I have it. There's nothing about my issue. I think I could reset the memory. (how?).

Hello, today I have received a Sharp PA-4000. When I turn it on, after few seconds it starts beeping and it does not work at all - just a continuous beep. I cleaned, tried something else but everything has been useless. Any idea? Thanks!

Cheap solution. Go to a mall and buy a plastic carpet for washing machine. It is a piece of rubber which keep the machine stable and avoids trembles. I think it's 2 bucks stuff about. Cut the extra, and put what you need under your typewriter. That's all.

Thanks! Very nice video, I'll try. Btw, do you think a standard ribbon (size) is ok?

You can own the most beautiful typewriter on the Earth, but, if you have a dry ribbon, your writing experience shall be very frustrating. I got on eBay a wonderful Selectric I, totally refurbished and absolutely perfect. The ribbon was not at its 100%, so I bought another ribbon. It is very difficul to find one, and - living in Europe - extremely expensive, but that's it. New ribbon looks ok, but frankly the printing is not so much different. This is my question: is it possible to find a ribbon fully and totally working, as NEW? I mean letters well printed, with UNIFORM and FULL ink everywhere? Or every Sel. I is old and partially dry? Of course it is a traditional ribbon, (the first model hasn't corrector film).

Thanks
