Simple question - what is "Sperry Rand"?
My 1970 Remington Ten Forty has the name "Sperry Rand" on it, as does a lot of other Remington models of that era, but I have no idea what it means!
Does anybody know?

Sperry Rand is the name of the company that produced the typewriter.
