Ha, Richard Polt has done that.  There is a picture in his book and I just searched and found a little bit about it online.  He calls it the Twolympia, and it's an SM9 in an SM3 body.  In the book he says it was a very tight fit and required some modifications to get it all to work out.

Er - that lovely grand sweep on an SM9 IS a curve. 

I'd hate for everything to look the same.
