I am seeking advice on how to disassemble an Oliver 9 Typewriter (serial number 709425). I have already removed the carriage, draw cord, mainspring drum, front cover, ribbon spools, keys, and the “shifting platform” that the carriage rides along and which also holds the escapement. At this point I am uncertain as to the correct procedure to remove the typebars and key levers. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

I don't have any first-hand experience with an Oliver tear down, but have you contacted the owner of this website? Maybe he can be of help?

Annnnddd I followed my words and Im going to completely refurbish my Oliver later this week once I receive my ultra sonic cleaner.
