Re: I need help to identify my machine

Hmm, maybe a Royal KHM.   That's a very wide carriage!

Pretty sure that's a Royal KHM. Very nice wide carriage too!

A high schooler with a lot of typewriters. That's pretty much about it.

Re: I need help to identify my machine

That looks very much like a Royal KHM but with a wider carriage. (perhaps 20+ inches judging from the photograph)

You might want to check the serial number just for confirmation since the first few letters of the serial number would tell you what sort of model it is.

Re: I need help to identify my machine

I dont know anything about typewriters, but its a 26 inch carriage from my measurements. What would a carriage this size be used for? Where might I find the serial number?

Re: I need help to identify my machine

Wide carriage typewriters were often used for ledger sheets (bookkeeping/accounting).

Am I the only one who can't see the photo in the post? Since there's no image for me to see I can't comment on the model, but if it's a KHM the serial number can be seen by moving the carriage to the extreme left and looking underneath it at the right/rear corner of the machine.
