replacing type bar on a hermes baby

Hi everybody! I own 2 Hermes Baby. The two of them were built in 1961, so they are exactly the same model. One is not working at all and has a very nice large Pica typeface. The other works perfectly but has a small Pica typeface. I would prefer to type with a large typeface on the one which works and is my favorite typewriter. Do you think it would be possible to remove the type bars (large pica) from the unworking one and put them back to the working one ? And does anyone know how to proceed ?
Thanks!

Re: replacing type bar on a hermes baby

Errr..... You MIGHT be able to. I don't have a Hermes, so I have no idea on how about you would do it. If its like any other typewriter, you would probably have to take apart a lot of it...

Why isn't the other one working? Surely we can help you out....

Back from a long break.

Starting fresh with my favorite typer. A Royal Futura!
