Might anyone know how this carriage release key spring should be attached?  The right side one is missing, and the left side is only attached on one end of the spring.

This is the carriage release key, in the middle.  When it is pressed down, it does not retract back up like it should, so the carriage won't stay in the desired position unless you manually lift on on the key.


Here is the left side with the spring just attached on one end of the spring.  Need to figure out what where it needs to be attached.  When the carriage release key is pressed, the right side of that silver plate that the spring is resting on, goes down to release the carriage.


Here is the right side, there is no spring on this side.  Not sure if there is supposed to be one.
