I haven't been on here for while, but had to come over as I just got a call from my mom saying that she was at Michael's shopping and came across a manual typewriter...This is very interesting!! I think it would be slightly more exciting if marketed for writing other than scrap-booking or what have you, but nonetheless, very neat!!

From what it sounds like, this machine is not enough of a heavyweight for the long, arduous sessions involved in writing where serious paper-pounding goes on.  All this little machine is meant to do is to type out little messages on cards identifying pictures in a scrapbook.  At most, you could type recipes with it.  To manufacture a typewriter robust enough for serious writing would be many times more expensive.  We're talking the difference between a Yugo and a Mercedes here.
