I get my hands on old Remington typewriter, concretely Remington Standard Typewriter No. 10. Typewriter is functional, at least keyboard seems to work properly, but ribbon is dried out. Overall state of machine is otherwise bad. Chromed parts are damaged by corrosion. Paint is on some places scuffed down, and elsewhere it's flaking off, revealing black-corroded iron. Mechanism of cylinder isn't working properly, cylinder move only "when it wants" and I don't yet know why. I had little time to explore it thoroughly.

I had such idea of total renovation. I am from Czech republic and these machines aren't really ordinary here, so I would like to see it in state as close as possible to original. I am able to dismantle entire typewriter, repair it, even replace (manufacture) some simple parts by new ones. I have access to sandblaster and airbrush so I can do easily complete repaint. I can arrange application of new chromium to corroded parts. I even know someone, who can make me red trademark, looking as original one, which was placed on top, and mark of czech importer of that time, which was placed above keyboard. But I fear, I can't easily repair writings on machine. Remington logo on upper side is still visible enough. But "Remington Standard Typewriter No. 10" writing under keyboard can't be restored, because it's entirely unreadable. Other writings 50-60%. It's need to be done completely new. I tried to find some similiar computer font to make some template, but I couldn't find one so close. Do you have some Ideas?

In fact all I need is some way to restore theese Remington logos and all writings. Everything else I can easily renew myself.

By the way, I found serial number 14,530 is there way to determine some year of manufacture?
