Why do I type better on a typewriter than a computer?

I find that my typing on a typewriter is much better than on a PC i.e. more accurate. My spelling is fine but often my two hands get out of sync on a PC which doesn't happen on a typewriter. I'm not a touch typist by any means but I did first start typing on a typewriter back in the 1960s moving on to computers in the 1980s.

I wonder if its because I type slower on a manual typewriter.

I'm equally ham-fisted on both types of keyboards, but I do prefer the tactile feedback of a mechanical typewriter key to the soulless light plastic caps that are the computer's equivalent.

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.
