Smith-Corona skyriter - Ribbon and Carriage Return Lever Repair

I just purchased a Smith-Corona Skyriter for $35 and aside from a broken screw that holds on the carriage lever return and a dry ribbon it's almost in like-new condition.

The serial number is: 4Y 600286

1) What can you tell me about the age?
2) Where can I find a new ribbon? (Or, can I just re-ink this one? It's dry but in like-new condition as well.)
3) And, lastly, I've figured out how to put it back together, but where can I get a new screw to hold on the carriage lever return? Does anyone sell scrap parts from other skyriters? It has an unthreaded shaft closest to the head and then threaded after that. (Amazingly, I have the original screw in the case, but the threaded part is what snapped off so I can't use it for the repair.)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! I can't wait to start putting it to use!

Be blessed!

For age, that looks later, probably 60s or late 50s. Let me look for you quick...

The typewriter database says its from 1960.

New ribbons can be found on ebay, etsy, or even from a few people here. Good quality ones are $10+, the lower quality nylon ones for cheap are good for whatever typing, but Ive heard great stuff on the cotton ones. Or just any higher quality ones. Theres a few threads on here about them.

Depending on if you have both parts of the screw, and how thick it is, you may be able to use JB Weld, but I advise not to. Someone here may have a parts machine, or just ask around at the other groups.

Based on its number my guess is that it's a '62 model.

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Yeah, I thought 1960 sounded strange

I saw the 1960 or later part.
