Busy Secretary
How cool is this toy? Not sure what this vintage toy is worth, but a battery-powered typist clacking away beside you while you're using your own machine would be good for a laugh.
The pronoun I has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

It must be a rare toy, because I've seen one for sale recently priced at $900! Then again, I've also seen $50 typewriters priced at $500...
The video of it in use is worth watching:
I like the action: the carriage moves (albeit in the wrong direction), the platen spits out a typed page, and her arms move up and down. I'm not so sure about the red-lit keyboard, and I have to wonder if it was an inside joke that they put Tom Thumb (a toy typewriter brand) on the machine she's using.
