Hello everyone,
I am the proud owner of an Olympia SG3, a SM9 and a Selectric 3.
Today I want to ask you about the selectric.
Anybody here has ever attempted to deep clean their Selectric at home? Mine is in almosto pristine condition, but it did lay, unused, for over 15 years, and I think it would greatly benefit from some thorough cleaning.
The keys, for instance, they work fine, but they feel stiff immediately after I turn the machine on.
The express button was not working, and then I opened the cover, applied a few drops of thinner, and it is OK now.
What else do you recommendo?
Thanks
