Re: Recent Acquisitions Thread

I believe this is a 1948 MP1
I shouldn't have bought thisProbably paid too muchBut it is 100% functionalEverything is aligned ( 1 slug crooked, the "3/4" and "=")
that and a hard, hard plate that is surprisingly not as loud as one might think

Re: Recent Acquisitions Thread

Finding a fully functional Olivetti MP1 is good news! The Ico, I'd say, is easier to find than this, so IMO there's nothing bad in having secured this beauty

Re: Recent Acquisitions Thread

Haha
Well that's good to know!
I think this is the Invicta model, right?

Also I think I was wrong about the rubber being hardened, I think it was just a matter of one of the feed rollers not contacting....

Re: Recent Acquisitions Thread

Purchased this Remington Monarch with Tabulator today.  Can't find the serial number in the database.t  It is:  ERM 467340

I don't see the ERM notation

Re: Recent Acquisitions Thread

This model was discussed in a previous thread: http://typewriter.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=1665&p=1
Based on all the other "-Riter" serial numbers it's probably safe to assume it was made in the '60-'62 range. Incidentally, I would edit the model name you gave it in the database and remove "Tabulator" from it. It's just "Monarch" and by adding "Tabulator" to it you created an orphan model that won't be grouped with the other Monarch models already in the database.

Not a Lettera 22. Not even an Olivetti. From what I can see it looks like there's an Antares under the hood.
