Hey all!  First post about my first rehab.  I found this old Underwood Model S and I am working to clean and fix it up.  I need to remove the platen for cleaning and inspection and I cannot get the rod to budge.  I found an old maintenance manual online and followed all of the steps to remove it but the rod is stuck.  It will rotate fine but when I go to pull it out, it will not budge.  I have posted pictures of my work so far hoping expert eyes will see something I am missing…any help is appreciated!
