Whoa! Those Facets are very cool. What a beautiful family. I thought I could hold this hobby to 3 or 4 units but that might be impossible. I'll justify collecting as being cheaper than golf.
You're going to want a good, sturdy shelf and a nice, well lit workstation if you intend on working on them yourself. Apprenticing under the owner of a local typewriter shop (who has been working on these machines since 1974) helped me stay *somewhat* sane over the last 22 months.

Mikeytap,
Everything in moderation. Keep active with golf, walking, tennis, etc. as well as time with typewriters.
I even started some local metal detecting. Fun hobby and a good way to get in some outdoors and walking. For now, I am a pro at finding bottle caps, pull tabs, etc.

Yes, all things in moderation. Food too. And as pitcher Greg Maddox used to say about winning and losing: "don't get too high, don't get too low".
I made room on my guitar work bench for typewriter cleanup, but I do'n't have the experience to get too deep into these machines.
Let me know when you find that Rolex Daytona among the bottle caps.
