WTB: Royal KMM Carriage Rack

Hi, my lovely new KMM unfortunately came with a few missing teeth on the "carriage rack" I think it is called. The long toothy bit of the escapement. We didn't think to ship it with the carriage release levers taped down. It's a 12 CPI machine with a 10" platen. If anyone has one to part with, please PM me.

PS: Anyone ever try brazing in a section of metal and filing new teeth?

Much appreciated.

Re: WTB: Royal KMM Carriage Rack

You can apply a weld bead to the section and hand file it, won't be easy!  I have a KHM carriage but it's extra wide.  Can't justify parting out my standard KHM since it is in working order, just ratty.

Re: WTB: Royal KMM Carriage Rack

So KHMs and KMMs have some interchangeable parts? Are different length carriages interchangeable between otherwise similar KMMs, so I could rob a wider carriage from an unsalvageable body?

Re: WTB: Royal KMM Carriage Rack

You could find a junker KMG with the same pitch and carriage width and rob it from that as well.

Thanks for the tips, I'll see what I can do.
