This early 1980's Brother Deluxe 1613 is my one-and-only fully re-painted typewriter.

But it was not done by me. However, it was done really well.

When some folks see it, it always gathers a crowd and makes them smile.

Very tastefully and thoughtfully done - I like it !  Remember that 40 years ago, the typewriter trade used to re-spray typewriters too, to update or improve them for resale.  I remember that there was a car (automotive) colour that was very similar to the light green used on the Remington GJ and another Morris Minor colour (Rose Taupe) that would easily pass for the metallic grey colour used on the late 1950's Imperial 66. Different motives perhaps, but refinishing typewriters is nothing new !
