Hi,
I restore an Olympia Mod. 8. I know there existed a maintenance and repair manual, but it seems it never found its way into their internet. I wonder if the Olympia was ever exported in any way so that one of this manuals was also accessible outside of Europe.
In case anyone could provide me a PDF or give me a source to find it, I greatly appreciate it.
Happy typing
Chris

It seems there is no source to get this. So I now rely on good old reverse engineering and lots of pictures to get everything done and assembled again.
Maybe I will digest everything into a repair manual myself after finishing.

Chris, You might look at looked at Ted Munk's Olympia SM-1 - SM-7 manual (The Olympia SM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 Typewriter Repair - TWDB Operation: OOPRAP). Though it doesn't directly cover the SM-8, I'd expect that the SM-8 isn't that different than the SM-7, and better than having no manual at all...

He was asking about a Model 8, not an SM-8.
