1960 Royal Futura 800 - In Coming...
Have this near perfect 1960 Royal Futura 800 in factory "periwinkle blue" coming to our home.
Case is near perfect but got a replacement handle along the way. Not to worry, as I have a nice factory-handle, spare in my parts stash.
Should have it home in a week or so.
I will be doing my typical modification to bring the ribbon colour selector to the outside of the front panel.

The brown UPS truck came this morning.
Tomorrow will be typewriter spa-day.
The factory-original felt pads are immaculate and not that terrible open-cell foam that just turns to demon-dust.
Everything is functional. Just needs a light cleaning and oiling and a new ribbon.

Typewriter spay-day work done.
Love that this machine has Pica 10cpi font. So easy on my eyes.
Rubber feet on the bottom are still soft...as is the platen rubber.
I think I like the sturdiness of the replacement handle on the case, so will leave it in place. Will place one of my factory original plastic handles in the case for a future owner if they desire.
In the next few days, I will add the external lever for the ribbon colour select.
But some 3-4 ft. tall weeds in my back-yard are calling to me.

And I treated myself to a "proper" weed wacker. Hand-pulling was getting a bit old.
