SG3 - Redesigned Plastic Paper Support...
Looks like in the later days of the SG3 typewriter production, Olympia finally got around to facing the need to come up with a re-design of their plastic paper support (that is missing on so many SG1 and SG3 machines).
This "new-in-box" SG3 is on eBay out of Spain (I borrowed the seller's photos). Seller is asking nearly $ 1,500 USD for this typewriter.
The re-designed paper support is identical to the support Olympia used on the SGE-45 electric standard.

I've grown accustomed to the clear plastic support, but this looks to be much more functional.

And it appears also on the SGE 65. It seems the the newer design has a non-transparent frame around the clear center that consists of a less brittle plastic material than the old full transparent design.
