Below are the changes I've made based on everyone's input so far. I'd like some feedback on what you're seeing, and based on that information I can make more changes if required.
Change Log:
1. Link chain visibility issue fixed by switching to a lighter background.
2. Changed the typeface and its size to see if italics is more pronounced and readability is improved.
3. Switched the colour scheme to see if it will aid contrast without being as harsh to look at (like black on white).
NOTE: Once all of the practical and functional issues have been resolved, the forum banner and footer will be replaced to work with the new colour palette.

I'm sorry, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old format. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just saying......

I like this bluish colour pallete !
Even better than the 2 grey-shade examples, previously.
The default size of the lettering is wonderful, too.

The dated design from the 1990s was no longer in keeping with the times.
I find the new design quite pleasant. There is a clear improvement in terms of better readability and a more agreeable environment. Thank you for taking this step in the right direction.
I think the light-blue color scheme is very well executed. As we know, there are people on this forum who take a keen interest in color and design—especially when it comes to typewriters. ![]()
The typeface is also a good choice. The orange-brown color used for links is actually quite nice, too. It might benefit from being a shade darker, but that’s something that could be fine-tuned and tested further if there’s a general consensus. This applies particularly to the "light" font weight used for the links; it strikes me as a bit too pale given the thickness of the characters.
Of course, changes don’t have to be final—there is always room to keep working on further improvements.
In any case, the forum now feels moderately more modern without losing any of its original charm.
