Re: The Royal 440 Beast

It's just like an office grey. It's nothing special. Actually kinda boring. But what makes is unique is the wide carriage. I didn't know it was a wide carriage until looking at a picture of another 440.

I've never heard of the "101" before! I need to look into that. I also didn't know they produced the Empress for only two years. I just got a nice white one with a special typeface.

The Empress is on my list.  I love the way they look, like the Jetsons' car. Do you young guys know The Jetsons?

Re: The Royal 440 Beast

Heh heh, well this post is now null and void... I sold the 440 last Tuesday because I didn't really use it as much as it deserved. Also extra space and cash is always a bonus. Plus it gave me the excuse to buy that Royal 10 I love. And I didn't know that the 440 was only produced until 1968. This 440 had its instalation/waranty sticker and it was instaled in December of 1968. So it must have been a late one.

That would be great, thanks. In your experience have you found the data between various OMEF editions can be inconsistent?
