The Royal Arrow that I ordered on Wednesday came today before I even woke up. The machine itself was all in one piece and I cleaned it up rather quickly. There's just one problem. The typeface is less than stellar. I don't mean the letters are bad, it's the standard Royal Pica typeface, but the print is pretty bad. The top half of the typeface is too faint, and the ribbon is new and loaded in there correctly. The vibrator is fine, I fixed it up, but for some reason it isn't fully dark. Does anybody know the problem? Or the solution? Here is a comparison of the Arrow typeface to the first portable Royal produced. 

I really wish to fix this problem because I love the feel of the Arrow. It feels much more fluid and complete than that of the first Royal portable. And to think, they're only separated by ten years.

(On a side note, does anybody know the location of the serial number to an Antares Parva typewriter?)
