Thanks to everyone who has posted advice and told me how you have built your collections.

Typewriter number 2 joined my collection on Saturday afternoon - I bought a lovely 1945 Corona Sterling having read how great they are to type with. It was in dire need of a clean, the platen is a bit hard and it needs fresh ink but other than that it is great. The floating shift is so clever.

KatLondon your 1935 Olympia Progress looks lovely - thats the sort of thing I will be collecting but its a shame that you can't use it straight away due to the loose type slug and that the decal has worn off.
