I was looking a little closer at the ebay listing for a Royal standard that I'm currently bidding on and when I expanded the part about the listing, I saw the category that it was listed under.
It had nothing to do with being a typewriter!
I was surprised! Perhaps I shouldn't be considering that the ad also listed the price for shipping the keys only.
Anyway, here is the category:
Crafts>Beads & Jewelry Making> Jewelry Findings> Other
The Royal looks like it is in really good shape and hopefully won't go up a lot before the auction ends. Lesson learned, don't always look in the typewriter section.

No. I usually do an initial search in 'all categories'. That searched on the word 'typewriter', from which I have learned that there's a make of sunglasses...

I write it in italian when i search ebay as I'm not interested in getting other types of keyboard, for now at least, looks like that seller didn't consider collectors at all and only aimed at the jewelry makers.

the reason that it was in there
is the seller was trying to sell the keys to thje jewlery people.
BTW did you get it?

I took ninive's point to be that, by targeting only the jewellery makers, the seller neglected to consider the typewriter collectors.
