How Addicted to Collecting are you?
**This is how many typewriters you have ever owned**
1-3 Typewriters = Starting Collector
3-6 = Collector
6-10 = Addicted Collector
10-15 = Extremley Addicted Collector
15-20 = Extremley Obsessed Collector
20-30 = Extremley Obsessed Addicted Collector
30+ = Error 404. You cannot type more than 400 characters!

I'm trying to wind down to an acceptable 'addicted' level, before moving on to my goal of 3-6 machines just for 'normal' use. But as there are two more in the post soon, this may be unrealistic. Maybe it's like drinks - not a good idea to count them!

*True story. I tried typing in my list of all the typewriters I have owned under my signature. And it gave me that error...

My level of attiction? In short: verys. By this rating system, I'm an "Extremely Obsessed Collector" with 14 typewriters. I'm looking to thin out the herd a little, but I can't bring myself to let more than 2 go... The only reason why I don't have more than 50, are for two reason. 1) I don't have the space in my 11x7 closet of a room, and 2) I am only 15 and still heavily under the influence of my mother and she is restricting my numbers. Also, if I come home with another typewriter one day, my girlfriend will give me a hard time, so that's two women in my life that are against my obsession. In fact, everyone I know is against my hobby except old people because I save their stuff. So my situation is a very complex one...
A high schooler with a lot of typewriters. That's pretty much about it.

Only two typewriters with maybe a third on the way if I can overcome a language barrier. (My German is terrible.)
Me: "Wie groß sind die Schnecken in der Schreibmaschine?"
Seller: "I don't understand. Maybe we should speak English. My typewriters very clean. No garden slugs or snails are in them. You want to know how large is the typeface?"
Telephones: even dozen I think, but would have to check.
Fountain pens: They're easy to hide. Not saying... ; )
