1948 Royal KMM with 14" carriage, found at a pawn shop. They were asking $60 but took $40, which was the maximum I would have paid. Fair amount of dust in the nooks and crannies, and plenty of paint wear (like on the escapement housing on the back), but overall decent user. Well aligned and the mechanism works fine. Even a decent ribbon, once I respooled it properly.
Must have been owned by a business since there's a brass inventory tag screwed onto the left side (as you type). No identifying marks though -- it would be fun to find out which business (could be long gone). Dates are scribed into the underside of the paper rest indicating when the machine was serviced -- no dates after the mid-50s though (which makes me think the machine was deaccessioned not too long after).
