Hi Rob,

I agree. All they would have had to do was to round off the front-top corners of the ribbon cover to match the same radii along the front-bottom corners of the cover.

I think that would even work with the flat-top of the ribbon cover.

This grey-on-grey 5TE on F-B Marketplace has an asking price of $ 100. You have to scroll over to the photos of their inventory No. 113 to see the machine.

Looks to be in very nice shape. It is in a little town about 8 miles north of us in Idaho.

I spoke with the seller about their SG3 and in passing, she let me know that the S-C 5TE does not power up...but she is pretty sure the tattered power cord may be the culprit. She remembers it working when her father serviced it in the past.
