So, my first typewriter was a Royal 10 which I dated to around 1933 based on the short paper table that flips forward, not back.  I’ve had it for years and it’s taught me to fix typewriters, touch type, and spell way better.  It’s a true workhorse and has never let me down especially when my laptop keeps breaking.
The only issue I have, is that the previous owner cut off the serial number.  You can see the hacksaw marks.  Just wish I had a proper date, or a story.  Anyone here know why someone might do that?? Was it stolen??  Here are some pics.
