My rescue animal: I bought this not knowing if I would be able to get it working, purely to prevent yet another machine being chopped. (It was listed as material for chopping.) It cost me £7.50 and a lot of elbow grease. And it works now.

Bravo! Can you imagine such a beauty being destroyed for the sake of some junk jewellery?

Congratulations.  I can hardly imagine the level of barbarism that would destroy this for bad-taste baubles.
Have the earlier model without the protecters, and as you say, a pleasure to use; fast snappy action.

Your beautiful machine is now worth 10 to 20 times what you paid.  Well done.
