Typewriter Talk / Vintage Letterhead Paper

Greetings All,
I have been a typewriter user for 3 years now and I find myself drawn to vintage letterhead paper. Some of the old illustrations are so beautiful. The historian and collector me wants to preseve this Ephemera, the typewriter me wants to use it. A copy machine has been a good solution, but I do not like the 20# copy paper. Does anyone else copy and use old letterhead? Side note, I stamp the back with FACSIMILE so future collectors won't get dupped.

I don't use 'old' letterhead but I have managed to make my own. I use a 24lb Southworth parchment paper in a Celery color. I had them cut it in half so that the sheets are 8.5x5.5 in size. I find that to be perfect for sending a quick note to one of my daughters or mouther-in-law. The stack of sheets is first run through a laser printer for the letterhead with a black and white illustration in the bottom right corner. Then it's ready to be used in the typewriter. It definitely adds a personal touch to the letters.
