Typewriter Talk / Remington Rand 711 Electric Typewriter (Sperry Rand)

Does anybody know anything about this typewriter? Is it made of plastic? Metal? Is it reliable? A good typer? etc.

Duane Jensen with Phoenix Typewriters sold such a machine in the past for $ 90.

You might give him a call and ask him what he thought of the "711".

I contacted Duane and he said that these are tough little electrics, with a meta flute shaft and strong return. And they use regular, easy-to-find ribbons. Their only problem, apparently, is the cog belts, which may break, and become brittle with time.
