Imperial 220 alignment

Hi all. I recently found a 1973 Imperial (Silver-Seiko) 220 in a charity shop for £15. Nice machine, clean, needs almost no work. But the Upper and lower cases are out of alignment and there's bottom shading on the lower case letters. 

Could someone point me towards the correct adjustment points for this machine, please.

Ian,

Is your machine a carriage-shift or a segment-shift ?

It might also help to take covers off and show some photos...

Thanks Pete - I've figured it out in the interim.
