I've read that the Aristocrat was the 2nd-tier model, but I've looked through dozens of photos of both and can't see what features one has that the other lacks. What am I not noticing?
The biggest difference is the QDL has more soundproofing. There is also a slight difference in the shell design, and the front of the segment (banking ring and segment cover.)
I should have specified I am only referring to the versions from 1939 to early 1948, for which I can reference my parts catalog. I cannot speak for the the models from mid 1948 onward, which could be a different story.
