Using Typewriters to Teach English

I thought it would be fun to introduce young learners to typewriting alongside learning the alphabet.

Absolutely retains their attention!

However, they have no idea on the heritage of these typewriters

Very cute!

Most owners of the garbage can Olivetti would probably faint at the sight of a child using their precious machine, but it is a fun and approachable typewriter to entice kids with.

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Also, there are adults who don't share the significance of which typewriters are milestones and which are just ordinary (by collector standards).  I couldn't very well appreciate some of the machines out there had I not got on this Forum because I had never seen them come down this way.  I only knew the ones I saw, but I knew (and still know) them pretty well--something has to happen in the better part of almost forty years of messin' wit' da critters.
