I'm having a similar issue on a 51 Royal QDL. Letters mostly move the carriage but the spacebar doesn't, unless I really hit it repeatedly. It's a pretty dirty machine, will a thorough cleaning generally resolve this problem? Or will I need to do some sort of mechanical repair? Draw band is good. Thanks as always!
