You would cut panels out of those sheets to fit your machine, and if your typewriter still has its original sound deadening material, you could always remove it and use it as a template.

Right, I was worried it wouldn't be big enough. My IBM Selectric III is 20" wide so the material should be fine. Thanks.

Worst case you could always butt two pieces together. If you do end up going this route, I hope that you let us know how you made out and what effect it had on the machine's noise level.
